JuJu Smith-Schuster has frustrating knee problem

It’s probably too soon to panic, but one of the Steelers young offensive stars has been dealing with a knee problem.

Via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been limited with what he called a frustrating knee injury. He said he expected to be fine by the start of training camp, however.

Just something that’s been bothering me over time, Smith-Schuster said. Kind of just adds up and lets me know, ‘Yo, I need to get it checked out.’ We got it checked out.

He wouldn’t get into any detail about his condition, but admitted it was difficult not being fully involved. He hasn’t done any team drills in OTAs or minicamp.

Once I’m able to run out there and put on the pads and be with my guys, it’s like the whole game changes, he said. It’s like I never left.

The 21-year-old was a revelation last year, the youngest player to ever total more than 1,000 yards (including 917 receiving yards) with eight touchdowns. and with Martavis Bryant traded to the Raiders this offseason, it’s that much more important to have him up and running.

They went to see Deadpool 2. As the movie played, Shepley pointed to the screen: There I am, he told his new teammate.

Before signing with the Jets as an undrafted free agent, Shepley Cheap Jerseys Made In USA signed another big deal — for a part as a featured extra in the Cheap Jerseys NCAA Basketball big-budget movie. He plays Omega Red, a villain known for his fights with Wolverine.

It was crazy, James recalled this week.

Shepley’s journey to the big screen began in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia, where he was an English major and a star lineman. Many movies are filmed in Vancouver because it’s cheaper than filming in some big US cities. Some of Shepley’s teammates told him about signing up to be an extra in films as a way to make some extra money.

Shurmur likely was privy to that plan.

The Giants have a crowded tight end room, led by second-year standout Evan Engram and veteran Rhett Ellison, who also played for Shurmur with the Vikings. Carter, Jerell Adams and Ryan O’Malley are in the mix for the No. 3 spot.

I think that was the best thing for me, Carter said. Just to get a new start, I think that’s real important. I’ve had two years in the league now. I’ve learned a lot. I’m ready to showcase it in front of a new set of eyes.

At the end of the day, they were trying to get their roster to 90, Carer said. Obviously, before he picks somebody he has no idea about he is going to pick somebody he knows. I by no means feel that’s an automatic in for me. I still have to prove myself.

Don’t take my word for it, take it from analysts like those at Footballoutsiders. They have a calculation called “power success,” which measures how often a team converts on a third- or fourth-down run with 2 yards or less to go. The Lions ranked last at 45 percent. Another ugly number – they ranked 31st in the percentage of times their running back was tackled behind the line of scrimmage.

That’s why adding an offensive guard — or even a center-guard such as Iowa’s James Daniels — could be the preferred option in the first round. The crop of defensive ends is weak, and Landry and Davenport draw mixed reviews, although they’re coveted because of the premium on pass-rushers.

If the two-time NFL MVP and his agent, David Dunn, were waiting for the other quarterback deals to be finalized, the wait is over. There are no other contracts that will get in the way of returning Rodgers to his rightful place at the top of the NFL pay scale.

The first word of talks between Dunn and the Packers came in February, when Packers president Mark Murphy told ESPN at the scouting combine that negotiations had begun. It was at that time when general manager Brian Gutekunst said: I wouldn’t expect it to be real difficult.

Cousins’ three-year, $84 million contract with Minnesota complicated the matters because the Vikings guaranteed the entire contract.

In the nine years before he ran for president, Donald Trump’s company spent more than $400 million in cash on new properties — including 14 transactions paid for in full, without borrowing from banks — during Cheap Ireland Jerseys a buying binge that defied real estate industry practices and Cheap Jerseys And Hats Trump’s own history as the self-described King of Debt.

How Justus Sheffield (with help from Yankees’ CC Sabathia) finally advanced to Triple-A

TRENTON Justus Sheffield was in the dumps during the spring training day in early March that he was told his stay in big-league camp was over.

Being cut wasn’t what bummed out the Yankees ‘ top-rated pitching prospect. The 21-year-old left-hander was upset with himself that was leaving on a sour note.

That day, I’m not going to lie, I was shocked, Sheffield said. I was a little bit mad. Mostly I was just surprised and curious. I wanted to know why? I asked. He just said, ‘We’re here for your best interests. This is what we think is best for you. Work on your command.’

There was really nothing I could say except for, ‘Yes, sir.’ After that day I went back to work and got ready to go back to Trenton and get after it.

Sheffield got after it, and a month into the season he was promoted on Thursday to Triple-A.

His pitching got him there – Sheffield is 1-2 with a 2.25 ERA in five starts with 39 strikeouts in 28 innings – but his mentor played a role in this promotion, too.

Predicting Every NFL Team’s Biggest Rookie Surprise More As passing games have spread out, collegiate production from offensive skill plays has ballooned over the last decade. It’s uncommon to see prospects enter the league without solid numbers, but that’s why trait-based evaluation is important.

Linebacker: The biggest, perhaps only, concern for 2018 Rams More Alden Gonzalez ESPN Staff Writer Close Joined ESPN in 2016 to cover the Los Angeles Rams Previously covered the Angels for MLB.com Follow on Twitter LOS ANGELES A Los Angeles Rams’ offense that was among the NFL’s best last season might be even better now, with Brandin Cooks joining the receiver group and Jared Goff potentially taking another step forward as a third-year quarterback. The defensive line, where Ndamukong Suh joins Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers, looks flat-out scary. And the same can be said for the secondary, now that Aqib Talib and Marcus Peters have been added to a group that includes Lamarcus Joyner, John Johnson Cheap Hockey Team Jerseys and Nickell Robey-Coleman.

The Bills will turn to a former Carolina Panther Cheap Hockey Jerseys to help build their future roster.

2018 Offensive Coordinator: Brian Daboll

Unlike the Rams a year ago, it doesn’t look as though the Buffalo Bills will leap into the top 10.

How could they?

The team is on its fifth offensive coordinator in six years. Tyrod Taylor is out at quarterback; AJ McCarron and Josh Allen have arrived. The former couldn’t beat out Andy Dalton for a job in Cincinnati, and the latter was arguably the most polarizing quarterback in the 2018 class.

It should be more of the same in 2018 with coordinator Nathaniel Hackett back at the controls. Wide receiver Allen Robinson left for Chicago, and the team will have to bank on good performances from Dede Westbrook, rookie D.J. Chark and Donte Moncrief on a depth chart with no real standouts. Fournette, as good as he is, will likely come close to his rookie average of 3.9 yards per carry because opponents don’t feel threatened by the passing game.

And that’s fine—the Jaguars win via defense. Unless the team gets a breakout year from a receiver, one of the NFL’s best defenses is ready to do the heavy lifting.

Romo, a four-time Pro Bowl player who retired last year, has turned his attention to golf, though the 38-year-old’s PGA Tour debut saw him finish last at last month’s Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.

Is this a lame-duck year before Miami can make sweeping changes? Right now, the team’s goal seems to be going 8-8, which is the definition of purgatory in the NFL.

Judging by the contracts that incoming quarterback Kirk Cousins and outgoing quarterback Case Keenum received this offseason, it’s fair to say that the Minnesota Vikings believe they have improved at that position.

After they went 13-3 and made the NFC Championship Game last season, that’s a scary thought.

With plenty of expiring contracts on the horizon, 2018 could be the end of a window of elite defensive play for the Vikings. In the year leading Cheap Golden State Warriors Jerseys up to that potential exodus of talent, they drafted UCF cornerback Mike Hughes in the Cheap Game Jerseys first round, who projects to be a slot cornerback immediately.

Minnesota is maximizing its window rather shying away from it.

Sack projections for the top edge rushers in the 2018 NFL draft

Last year, the Cleveland Browns used the first overall pick on Myles Garrett, a highly regarded pass-rusher out of Texas A&M. Both the advanced stats and the scouts agreed: Garrett was a bona fide elite talent with abilities commensurate with a No. 1 overall pick. Although Garrett struggled with injuries in his rookie year, overall the early returns have been positive: Garrett recorded 7.0 sacks in only 11 games played.

Bradley Chubb, another highly rated edge rusher prospect, likely sits near the top of many teams’ draft boards this year. However, according to Football Outsiders’ model for projecting edge rushers, SackSEER, the case for drafting Chubb high is not quite as clean as the case for taking Garrett No. 1 overall last year.

This one is on me tonight, Kershaw told reporters. After a night like last night, six is not going to cut it. That’s a tough situation to put your bullpen in.

I kinda went through this last year early on against lefties. I made two mistakes, and hopefully mistakes stay in the ballpark. Tonight, they didn’t and it cost us the game.

Attorney Rusty Hardin said Bennett’s defense against the charge of striking an elderly paraplegic security guard in the aftermath of Super Bowl LI will be that he just flat-out didn’t do it. It wasn’t a case of, ‘He didn’t shove her that hard,’ or anything like that. … He never touched her. And in NJ.com : I’m going to say this with a smile and total confidence: they are going to change their mind. This guy didn’t do it.

Hardin went on to say that nearly everyone who was there as a relative of a New England Patriot was trying to find their way onto the field, and it was possible that someone else trying to get to the field shoved the employee, not Toronto Maple Leafs Cheap Jerseys Bennett. Hardin added that he had witnesses, who prosecutors hadn’t talked Super Cheap Jerseys Fans to yet, who will say that Bennett didn’t shove the woman.

The Dallas Cowboys stand less than $1 million under the salary cap, so their front office can’t make acquisitions this offseason until other moves are made.

The Cowboys have taken their time addressing a few bloated veteran salaries instead of showing any aggressiveness in the market. While that’s likely a mistake, they did make a good decision by franchise-tagging defensive end Demarcus Lawrence.

The last two seasons have been skewed as they’ve dealt with subpar quarterback play, but the arrival of Case Keenum may spur an uptick in production.

Keenum’s play will be huge for the Broncos and may prove to be their smartest choice of the offseason, but he’ll have to prove he’s not just a product of the Minnesota Vikings’ excellent surrounding cast. Keenum’s a journeyman but has a huge opportunity to replicate last year with two great receivers in Denver.

There’s not much to dislike about the Bills’ strategy thus far. They’ve acquired affordable veterans like cornerback Vontae Davis, running back Chris Ivory and quarterback AJ McCarron to fill out the roster. Their only Giants Cheap Jerseys significant signings in terms of cap spending were Lotulelei, who has the sixth-highest total guarantee among 4-3 defensive tackles, and defensive end Trent Murphy, who is coming off a torn ACL and MCL but was an effective player prior to that.

It’s difficult to lose a first-round pick who was an effective player, but the Carolina Panthers not only made the right decision to let Star Lotulelei walk, they also upgraded his position. Former Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons nose tackle Dontari Poe was a great signing for three years and $27 million. He’ll help the Panthers line in a way for which Lotulelei wasn’t Fashion Online Shop Cheap Jerseys fit.

Coyotes coach Tocchet to miss meeting with Kings

The man who has the Arizona Coyotes playing like a playoff team — even though they won’t make the postseason — won’t be behind the bench Tuesday night.

First-year Coyotes coach Rick Tocchet is taking a leave of absence to deal with a family illness, so assistant coach John MacLean will coach them against the Los Angeles Kings, a team that is back in control of its playoff destiny.

Cole Hamels, Matt Moore and Doug Fister appear to be locks for the top three spots. Mike Minor remains a candidate, but could be switched to closer, a role he was effective in at the end of last season with Kansas City.

Left-hander Martin Perez threw 69 pitches in a minor league game Monday, allowing six runs, three earned, in four innings. He has been set back in spring training after breaking his right (non-pitching) elbow in December in an incident with a bull on his Venezuelan ranch. He could begin the season on the disabled list.

Clayton Blackburn, another rotation candidate, exited in the first inning in a Monday start against Cleveland with right elbow tightness. He will undergo further evaluation.

Murphy still doesn’t have a timetable as to when he’ll appear in a Grapefruit League game. Earlier this spring Murphy said he might only need a handful of at-bats to be ready for opening day.

Following the batting practice, Murphy said he’s pleased with the way his rehab is progressing.

“It’s nice to see ball flight,” Murphy said. “That you can’t really see — a little bit confined in the cage.”

Murphy’s only running this spring has come on a treadmill. He recently started fielding Cheap Embroidered NFL Jerseys groundballs.

“Not a ton of lateral movement right now,” Murphy said, “Just kind of right Cheap Dream Team Jerseys at me and hopefully we can kind of progress to ground balls a little bit further away.”

A three-time All-Star, Murphy hit .322 with 23 homers and 93 RBIs last season.

Super Bowl 52: Eagles overcome all obstacles to scale ultimate height

The gaping hole in the all-time resume of the Philadelphia Eagles has been filled. It took 52 tries, and for all but the senior citizens and die-hards it overshadows the NFL championship they won back when Eisenhower was in the White House.

The Eagles can now, finally, claim to be Super Bowl champions.

In typical fashion for this season, the Eagles and Foles overcame just to make it there, and to win it. They kept winning despite losing key players along the way, including Wentz, Jason Peter, Jordan Hicks and Ronald Darby.

For the Eagles to not only survive but thrive is a tribute to a coach who, oddly enough, didn’t get the recognition he likely deserved for finishing with the NFC’s best record and earning home-field advantage, Doug Pederson got just one vote for NFL Coach of the Year.

To get to the Patriots, they used a goal-line stand to hold on against the Falcons after a fairly dreadful first half by Foles, and then beat the Vikings into submission by 31 points, shrugging off Minnesota’s emotional wave from their own last-second playoff win over the Saints and dominating in every phase.

The franchise rode similar waves into its two previous Super Bowls, as Philadelphia fans were endlessly reminded for two weeks: they lost Super Bowls 15 and 39 before. Each year they fell short mocked them further, as entire eras passed with mounting disappointment and frustration — Dick Vermeil and Ron Jaworski, Buddy Ryan and Randall Cunningham and Reggie White, Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb and Brian Dawkins and Terrell Owens.

Haley joined the Steelers in 2012 and shared incredible success with Roethlisberger during his time in Pittsburgh, though the relationship was not sustainable and coach Mike Tomlin Wholesale NFL Jerseys Free Shipping decided not to renew Haley’s expiring contract after the team’s disappointing divisional round loss to the Jaguars last month.

The Steelers later promoted quarterbacks coach Randy Fichtner to serve as the team’s new offensive coordinator, and Bell is optimistic about Fichtner’s Wholesale NHL Jerseys potential success given the solid relationship he has established with Roethlisberger since joining the organization in 2007.

So it shouldn’t be a surprise that Swinney’s staff at Clemson is drenched in crimson, albeit of a decidedly pre-Saban hue. His football administrator (in Swinney’s words, “My national security adviser”) is Woody McCorvey, who was Swinney’s position coach at Bama. Before that, McCorvey worked at Clemson under the school’s other national title-winning head coach, Danny Ford, who, by the way, also played at Alabama, under Bryant.

Clemson special-teams/tight ends coach Danny Pearman, safeties coach Mickey Conn, defensive analyst Lemanski Hall and recruiting coordinator Thad Turnipseed all have ties back to Swinney’s days with the Tide. Only Turnipseed has worked for both Saban and Swinney, winning NFL Jerseys Wholesale two national titles with the former and one with the latter.

“I like to remind Nick that we have a lot of Alabama people at Wholesale NFL Jerseys Nike Clemson, but Clemson has always had a lot of Alabama people,” Swinney said, taking a poke at the guy he spends days on the lake with during the offseason. “And I also remind him that we were all at Alabama long before he was!”

But all of those folks who now make a very nice living in upstate South Carolina might not still have those jobs at all if not for a hire Swinney made six years ago, one that still leaves fans on both sides shaking their heads. In 2011, Swinney’s third full season, the Tigers suffered a legendarily awful 70-33 loss to West Virginia in the Orange Bowl. Barely two weeks later, he hired Brent Venables to be his defensive coordinator. Venables had been on the staff at Oklahoma for 13 years, all but one as defensive coordinator.

This Terrance Ferguson open court dunk was incredible. Also, he hurt his wrist doing it. Welp.

Even more telling about Harris’ attitude for improvement is his humility.

Lamar Miller, RB, Houston Texans: While Alfred Blue had a strong finish to his season — 33.8 PPR fantasy points on 50 touches in his final three games — Miller’s was comparably quiet, as he scored a season-low 3.7 PPR fantasy points on Sunday and totaled 16.5 on 30 touches in his final three games. Miller was started in 59.5 percent of ESPN leagues in Week 17.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts: Considering how favorable his matchup was (the Texans entered the week having allowed the fifth-most PPR fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers with 35.6), Hilton’s 4.4 PPR fantasy points on six targets were rather disappointing. After all, he scored a season-high 34.5 points against these Texans in Week 9. Hilton concluded his 2017 season with seven games out of 16 beneath five fantasy points. He badly needs a healthy Andrew Luck back throwing him the football in 2018.

Michael Crabtree, WR, Oakland Raiders: For the second consecutive week, Crabtree fell shy of five PPR fantasy points, with his 3.7 on Sunday representing his 13th-worst single-game total in 125 career contests. He was started in 51.8 percent of ESPN leagues, making him the 20th most-started wide receiver of Week 17.

Here’s him tooting his own horn (koff koff) post-game after that first 36-point-splosion. He fills the time talking about… Mason Plumlee.

Even more impressive about last night’s 36 was that 20 of them came in the first quarter, the best single quarter of scoring by a Denver Nugget since Ty Lawson was in town. His post game interview yet again quickly deflected the credit to his team.

He’s not the best yet, but he’s sure making progress. But that’s G.
