Jim Kelly’s wife says his latest surgery went well

Hall of Fame Bills quarterback Jim Kelly is continuing to show strength in his battle against cancer.

Kelly’s wife, Jill Kelly, wrote on Instagram that he is Cheap Jerseys China doing well under the circumstances, along with a picture of them holding hands in his hospital room.

Never stop holding hands. In sickness and in health, Jill Kelly wrote. Out of surgery and in recovery.

Still in a lot of pain, but everything went well. Thank GOD! No teeth yet, but 5 implants were inserted into the new bone in Jim’s upper jaw. More technical than I can explain.

Keenum still finds himself shocked at how the game ended.

You talk about the best moment? It was an unbelievable moment, Keenum said. I still don’t believe it sometimes, that it happened. It was so crazy.

His signing leaves only Ohio State defensive end Sam Hubbard unsigned among Cincinnati’s 11 draft picks. Hubbard and Jefferson came off the board on back-to-back picks in the third round, with Hubbard going 77th overall and Jefferson 78th.

Jefferson left the University of Texas after his junior season. He finished his three-year college career with 233 tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss and six pass breakups.

In 2017, Jefferson was co-Big 12 defensive Cheap Jerseys Direct player of the year, a second-team All-American and a semifinalist for the Butkus Award.

Rodrigue was the second of 39 goalies taken in the 2018 draft that followed the recent pattern of the position being in demand but not early. Longtime Los Angeles Kings director of amateur scouting Mark Yanetti believes there haven’t been many generational goalies like Price and Marc-Andre Fleury recently but also points to the long development curve as a reason why they’re so rarely first-round picks.

Cardinals sign Andy Lee Jersey to contract extension

The Cardinals announced they have signed punter Andy Lee to a two-year contract extension, keeping him under contract through the 2020 season.

Lee was entering the final year of a two-year, $3.9 million contract. He was scheduled to make $1 million in base salary this season.

People just live in a constant state of fear. But everyone’s too afraid to say anything because, unlike the players, we don’t sign a contract that guarantees us anything.

I mentioned something last year. I said, ‘Usually when you have a dream, and you wake up and you go back to sleep, you don’t pick up that same dream.’ And for me, I was fortunate enough to go to sleep, wake up and go back to sleep and pick up my dream right where it left off.

Those tears were tears of joy.

At wide receiver, Pierre Garcon, 31, is probably beyond his prime entering his 11th season. He was injured when Garoppolo joined the fray last year, so Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping we don’t know what kind of chemistry those two will have. Beyond that there’s Marquise Goodwin (who came close to 1,000 yards but caught only 53.3 percent of the passes thrown his way in his first year as a regular starter in San Francisco last season) and unproven youngsters Trent Taylor (who at least flashed a bit as a rookie in 2017) and Kendrick Bourne (who caught 16 passes as an undrafted Cheap Jerseys In The US rookie last year).

At tight end they’re putting all of their eggs in George Kittle’s basket after the 2017 fifth-round pick caught 43 passes as a rookie. And at running back they’re doing the same with well-paid free-agent addition Jerick McKinnon, even though the 26-year-old averaged just 3.6 yards per carry the last two years in Minnesota.

Garoppolo will have a little more stability than whoever is starting under center for the Jets, but all of his supporting cast members have pretty obvious (and low) ceilings.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has frustrating knee problem

It’s probably too soon to panic, but one of the Steelers young offensive stars has been dealing with a knee problem.

Via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has been limited with what he called a frustrating knee injury. He said he expected to be fine by the start of training camp, however.

Just something that’s been bothering me over time, Smith-Schuster said. Kind of just adds up and lets me know, ‘Yo, I need to get it checked out.’ We got it checked out.

He wouldn’t get into any detail about his condition, but admitted it was difficult not being fully involved. He hasn’t done any team drills in OTAs or minicamp.

Once I’m able to run out there and put on the pads and be with my guys, it’s like the whole game changes, he said. It’s like I never left.

The 21-year-old was a revelation last year, the youngest player to ever total more than 1,000 yards (including 917 receiving yards) with eight touchdowns. and with Martavis Bryant traded to the Raiders this offseason, it’s that much more important to have him up and running.

They went to see Deadpool 2. As the movie played, Shepley pointed to the screen: There I am, he told his new teammate.

Before signing with the Jets as an undrafted free agent, Shepley Cheap Jerseys Made In USA signed another big deal — for a part as a featured extra in the Cheap Jerseys NCAA Basketball big-budget movie. He plays Omega Red, a villain known for his fights with Wolverine.

It was crazy, James recalled this week.

Shepley’s journey to the big screen began in Vancouver at the University of British Columbia, where he was an English major and a star lineman. Many movies are filmed in Vancouver because it’s cheaper than filming in some big US cities. Some of Shepley’s teammates told him about signing up to be an extra in films as a way to make some extra money.

White House statement: Eagles decided to abandon their fans

The White House is pushing an interesting version of the events of the last week, putting the blame for the cancellation of the Eagles trip on the team, and doing something that looks an awful lot like trying to drive a wedge between the Eagles and their fans.

Via Jonathan Tamari of Philly.com, an official statement from the White House said that, last Thursday, the team informed them that 81 people were coming for the planned visit. They claim that, on Friday, the team called back to tell them a much smaller number of people would be attending, and also attempted to reschedule the visit for next week.

It will be interesting to see if Lurie has any more thoughts in the future, after a week that has shown beyond a doubt that the NFL erred in thinking they could pacify Donald Trump with their hastily-composed anthem policy.

Our union is disappointed in the decision by the White House to disinvite players from the Philadelphia Eagles from being recognized and celebrated by all Americans for their accomplishment, the NFL Players Association said in a statement issued Tuesday morning. This decision by the White House has led to the cancellation of several player-led community service events for young people in the Washington, D.C. area.

NFL players love their country, support our troops, give back to their communities and strive to make America a better place.

Of course, the player-led community service events for young people could have proceeded. And maybe the better approach would have been to follow through with those plans. Given, however, that the NFL and its teams have decided to choose running and hiding and appeasing and capitulating over standing and fighting, it’s no surprise that the Eagles ultimately decided to just scrap the whole trip, and to hold an OTA day instead.

Kam Chancellor: If my body says I can play, I’m playing

Questions continue to linger about Kam Chancellor ‘s future after he suffered a career-threatening neck injury last season.

If Chancellor can’t continue playing, Bradley McDougald is projected to start alongside Earl Thomas in Seattle’s remade defense.

Hide your lunch money, NFL. It’s going to be another long and painful year. The suffering won’t stop until Trump wants it to stop. Sorry! You should have known better.

Former Houston Texans cheerleaders detail alleged mistreatment by team

Four of the five former Houston Texans cheerleaders who filed a lawsuit Friday against the team spoke out in appearances Monday on NBC. They described a workplace in which they were underpaid or, at times, not paid at all for work they did, not given adequate protection from aggressive fans and subjected to intimidation and body-shaming.

Of the five, only Morgan Weiderhold was absent, with Kelly Neuner, Ainsley Parish, Ashley Rodriguez and Hannah Turnbow detailing their experiences in interviews on the Today show and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. They were accompanied by their attorney, Gloria Allred, who also led them to the NFL’s Manhattan headquarters, where she presented a letter to be given to Commissioner Roger Goodell, demanding that cheerleaders stop being exploited and mistreated solely because they are women.

Vegas making Stanley Cup Finals isn’t bad for NHL

Tomas Nosek scored the tiebreaking goal midway through the third period, and the expansion Golden Knights surged past the Capitals for a 6-4 victory on Monday night.

We put fun ahead of everything, and you can tell, said Ryan Reaves, who scored the Knights’ tying goal in the third period. Guys have are having fun and they’re smiling.

The Eastern Conference champion Capitals hadn’t given up this many goals in 29 games since March 18, but they hadn’t seen anything like this charmed run by the upstart Knights. With its sellout crowd of hometown fans at deafening volume all night, Vegas put its usual speed and relentlessness on full display while overcoming that third-period deficit to win the opener of a matchup between two franchises seeking their first Stanley Cup titles.

I think next game is going to be different, and all the nervousness, all the bad thing goes away in this game, said captain Alex Ovechkin, who had an assist. We just have to forget about it and bounce back (in the) next one.

And making these numbers more impressive is Andujar usually hits eighth and Torres mostly bats ninth.

I feel so great, Torres said. When I come to the ballpark, every day I just try to do my job, help my team. Enjoy and do my job. Just learn every day. Be mature every day and help. It’s the most important thing.

Andujar is the same way, and having his buddy Torres around for the fun makes it extra special.

It’s been an amazing experience for us just to be together here, Andujar said. We’re trying to do the best we can and trying to help the team. It’s been a great ride for us.

In Torres’ at-bat, he worked the count to 2-2, then fouled off a high fastball to stay alive before ripping his game-winning hit on a 95-mph heater that was down and in the zone.

I just put myself relaxed, Torres said. Try to put the ball into play and help my team. I think it is the most important for me… help my team when I’ve got opportunities. When I don’t do my job, I feel bad.
